We’re doing it again in Manhattan Beach
This is just amazing. MB United has spearheaded a wonderful event where we again get to spread the values in our new book — this time among both Christians and Jews. (As well as anyone else who wants to attend!) The event is co-sponsored by Congregation Tikvat Jacob, Trinity Lutheran Church, Manhattan Beach Community Church and, of course, MB United.
With the help of Rev. Douglas Barclay, Rabbi Josh Kalev, Rev. Mike Spitters and our audience, my cousin Paul and I will explore the concept of peace in all its forms and meanings — from inner peace to world peace. It should be an inspirational evening to kick off the holidays.
Here’s the official scoop:
Fight Darkness. Spread Light Together.
A Festival of Light
Meet the Authors for a Meaningful Discussion of Their Beautiful Book
Monday, December 12, 7:00pm
Congregation Tikvah Jacob
1829 North Sepulveda Blvd, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266
In this season of peace, join our interconnected faith communities for an engaging discussion with Paul Small and Josh Freeman, authors of the beautiful coffee table book, A Festival of Light. This book focuses on eight core human values: Faith, Freedom, Courage, Love, Charity, Integrity, Knowledge and Peace. Take a journey with them to learn how these values can be incorporated into our everyday lives. The discussion will focus on “Peace,” a universal concept shared by all faiths.
There is no charge for attendance, but reservations are recommended. Refreshments will be served and a book signing will follow the talk.
