Re-branding to reflect a new reality
When Copies On Premise, Inc. (COPi) was founded, the company created huge volumes of paper documents for high-performance law firms. And as those firms and their requirements evolved, COPi grew and changed to keep pace. Today, they provide a wide array of on-site and off-site support services that were not even a twinkle in anyone’s eye in 1989. If they wanted to continue to grow, they needed a new name and a new identity.
What we did
That’s where we came in. We started with research, doing a deep dive into their customers’ and employees’ perception of the company and its services. We evaluated their competitors. Then we gathered key executives offsite and led the process of unearthing the core brand values to be expressed both verbally and visually.
That became the basis for our work, which included renaming the company as Legistics, a portmanteau of “legal” and “logistics”. We designed a new system from scratch: logo, website, forms, signage, document boxes (their most visible form of “advertising”), uniforms, delivery trucks and even graphics for their race car which won the IMSA Continental Tire Championship
Results
The newly branded company is perceived as part of the future rather than part of the past. There’s a new sense of pride among employees, and interest among their customers. They have the tools to compete effectively and are poised to double the size of their business, a goal we are helping them to pursue. And, together, we’ve won a fistful of design awards along the way.
