How children’s art helped capture the Olympic spirit

When Levi’s wanted to make a splash with their sponsorship of the Olympic Games, they decided to host a city-wide children’s art contest.

Working closely with their public relations firm, we designed a poster and a collection of support materials aimed at elementary school students. Our goal was to inspire kids to represent “The Olympic Spirit” in their contest entries.

The result: Over 70,000 young artists submitted paintings, collages and drawings — more than double the client’s highest expectations. Levi Strauss received extensive press exposure, and the poster we created — from rough concepts to finished artwork — hangs among their corporate art collection at their San Francisco headquarters.
